Now in its fourth year, the seventh generation Malibu receives several enhanced features for 2011. The car continues to receive high praise, as it did when it debuted in 2007 for the 2008 model year. Three models of Malibu are offered for 2011: LS, LT and LTZ, all with the 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine standard. For the 2LT and LTZ models, a 3.6-liter V-6 is available. Both engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions with manual shift control. Also standard on models are four-wheel antilock brakes, stability control, traction control and brake assist. Chevrolet uses noise-reducing materials, including spray-on sound deadener, laminated steel, composite wheel liners and laminated glass to isolate the cabin from noise.
