2011 Chevrolet Malibu

Now in its fourth year, the seventh generation Malibu receives several enhanced features for 2011. The car continues to receive high praise, as it did when it debuted in 2007 for the 2008 model year. Malibu continues to be offered with a choice between two engines, both mated with six-speed automatic transmissions.

Three models of Malibu are offered for 2011: LS, LT and LTZ, all with the 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine standard. For the 2LT and LTZ models, a 3.6-liter V-6 is available. The four-cylinder engine produces 169 horsepower and 160 lb.-ft. of torque and delivers fuel economy of 22 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Both engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions with manual shift control. Also standard on models are four-wheel antilock brakes, stability control, traction control and brake assist. Chevrolet uses noise-reducing materials, including spray-on sound deadener, laminated steel, composite wheel liners and laminated glass to isolate the cabin from noise.
